Football Recap: Windsor Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Windsor extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They walked away with a 26-14 victory over the Roosevelt Roughriders. The Wizards have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Roughriders, too.

It was another big night for Adrian Czyszczon, who rushed for 119 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Windsor was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Windsor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Easton Krasuski and Grady Sullivan. Krasuski also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Sullivan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Roosevelt took the loss, they still got scores from Houston Howell and Jacobo Rosales.

Windsor and Roosevelt will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Wizards see the field they'll take on Niwot at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Roosevelt, their break will end when they face Pomona at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
