Bloomfield is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Martinsville a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. After both having extra time off, both teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 9:30 a.m. on December 28th.
Last Thursday, Bloomfield was beaten by Springs Valley 53-25. While losing is never fun, Bloomfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while Springs Valley is ranked 59th).
Meanwhile, Martinsville scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Saturday. They came out on top against Monrovia by a score of 65-56. The win was just what Martinsville needed coming off of a 60-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Martinsville, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.
