Sean Smith Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Westlake's Sean Smith, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Smith threw for 123 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 68 yards on only six carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Westlake's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Lions faces off against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Douglas County picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Zamarcus Lindley. Lindley was unstoppable, rushing for 108 yards and three touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Douglas County's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. Lindley and Douglas County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

A Season-Best Performance from Jacahi Streeter Leads Douglas County over Westlake
Jacahi Streeter produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Douglas County to the win on Friday. Streeter rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the season, Streeter has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 53.1 rushing yards per game.
