After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Steel Valley brought some dynamite into their most recent  game. They never let the Sto-Rox Vikings get on the board and left with  a   15-0  win  on Friday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Ironmen as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

 Jorden Smith was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for Steel Valley: the team is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 2-3-1 otherwise.  Cooper Phares was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Steel Valley was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .474. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  matches.
The  win  got Steel Valley back to even at 4-4-1. As for Sto-Rox, their defeat was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steel Valley will host East Allegheny  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Ironmen are facing the Wild Cats at the right time seeing as the Wild Cats are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for Sto-Rox, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ellwood City  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
