They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Grizzlies. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
K Cammarato made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, K Cammarato was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of E France, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Capistrano Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Southlands Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, their record is now 4-12.
Capistrano Valley Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Southlands Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .480. It's a different story for Capistrano Valley Christian, though, as they've only averaged .351. Will they be able to contain Southlands Christian's hitters?
