The Carmel Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 60-39 loss at the hands of Clarkstown North. Carmel has not had much luck with Clarkstown North recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kylie Murphy, who scored 22 points. Murphy scored a full 56.4% of Carmel's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Faith Keropian, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Clarkstown North, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 1-0.
Carmel will be home for the holidays to greet Port Chester at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Clarkstown North will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Rockland at 6:00 p.m. on January 17, 2024.
