Antietam is 9-1 against Kutztown since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Antietam Mountaineers will head out on the road to face off against the Kutztown Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Antietam focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Antietam came up short against Fleetwood and fell 55-46. Antietam has not had much luck with Fleetwood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Julious Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. AJ Schiefly was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Even though Kutztown has not done well against Brandywine Heights Area recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Kutztown came out on top in a nail-biter against Brandywine Heights Area and snuck past 52-50. The victory was some much needed relief for Kutztown as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Antietam has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Kutztown, their win ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.
Antietam strolled past Kutztown in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 72-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Antietam since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
