There's no place like home for The East Beauregard Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Merryville on Friday as East Beauregard made off with a 38-14 victory. The result was nothing new for East Beauregard, who have now won four matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
East Beauregard got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zane Hildreth out in front who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Freddy Beall was another key contributor, rushing for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Lucas Tucker and Jerimaya Robinson, Merryville certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Tucker gained 74 total yards and a touchdown, while Robinson rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown.
East Beauregard's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points per game. As for Merryville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
East Beauregard will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton Christian will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Merryville, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Basile at 7:00 p.m.
