Northeastern Clinton is 2-8 against Beekmantown since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Beekmantown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Northeastern Clinton is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Northeastern Clinton pushed their score all the way to 66 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 85-66 to Moriah. While losing is never fun, Northeastern Clinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while Moriah is ranked 63rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jordan Brown, who scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Rabideau, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Beekmantown waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 84-31 victory over AuSable Valley. Beekmantown's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Northeastern Clinton now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Beekmantown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Northeastern Clinton took a serious blow against Beekmantown in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 79-46. Can Northeastern Clinton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
