Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Purcell). They claimed a resounding  58-6 victory over the Star-Spencer Bobcats. The  win was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Purcell's  victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Star-Spencer, their loss was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 1-7.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Purcell will  square off against  rival Heritage Hall  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 31st. Meanwhile, Star-Spencer is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Pauls Valley  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
