The Spencer Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Colby 64-46. The win was a breath of fresh air for Spencer as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Spencer found their leader in underclassman Autumn Davis, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Spencer's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Mlsna, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Spencer's win ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Colby, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14.
Spencer will face off against Owen-Withee at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Owen-Withee is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Colby, Colby and Greenwood will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Greenwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Colby in Wisconsin (Greenwood is ranked 144th, while Colby is ranked 401st).
