Hagen Hughes Dazzles in Azle Win
Hagen Hughes's big game helped extend Azle's winning streak to six on Friday. Hughes turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 57 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Azle pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Hughes and Azle will square off against Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Gavin Beard Leads Aledo over Granbury
On Friday, Aledo got the W thanks in part to Gavin Beard playing the best football he has all season. Beard threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. What's more, he also racked up ten rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.
The victory was the sixth in a row for Aledo, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Beard and Aledo will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Richland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Aiden Mackey produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Azle to the win on Friday. Mackey picked up 114 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 50 yards.
For the year, Mackey has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 70.5 receiving yards per game.
