Even though Gateway University scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the Booker T. Washington Warriors still came out on top. Booker T. Washington narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Gateway University 62-59. The win made it back-to-back wins for Booker T. Washington.
Antaniya Britt was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Cariyonna Banks, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Booker T. Washington's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Gateway University, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will take on Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Gateway University will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Booker T. Washington at 12:00 p.m. on January 29th.
