Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 38-30 loss back in January.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Oaklee Skinner, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Chelsea Fontes was another key player, putting up nine points.
Leading Richfield to victory were Malia Kent and Baylee Henson. Kent dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds, while Henson posted ten points and seven boards. Richfield is undefeated when Kent posts eight or more rebounds, but 6-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Naylor, who put up four points along with seven boards and four steals.
Castleford now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Richfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season.
Castleford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-24 defeat against Carey on the 13th.
