The Providence Prep Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Oglesby Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oglesby took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Providence Prep, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Providence Prep humbled Holy Trinity Catholic with a 45-7 victory.
Providence Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lilly Hodge led the charge by scoring 12 points. The match was Hodge's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alice Illian, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Oglesby was the victim of a rough 50-29 defeat at the hands of Walnut Springs on Tuesday. Oglesby has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Providence Prep to 3-2 and Holy Trinity Catholic to 0-2.
Providence Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Oglesby when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 33-25. Will Providence Prep repeat their success, or does Oglesby have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
