The Graham Red Devils had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Moore on Friday and snuck past 62-59. The victory was just what Graham needed coming off of a 64-33 defeat in their prior matchup.
Leading Graham to victory were Jaylan Sinclair and Micah Woods. Sinclair scored 20 points, while Woods scored 24 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Woods has scored at least a third of Graham's points.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Patterson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Parsons, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Graham's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-20. As for North Moore, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Graham will take on Southeast Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Alamance will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Graham surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Moore, they will be playing at home against Cummings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Moore has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 195 points over their last three games.
