Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Butte Bulldogs walked away with it. They came out on top against the Braves/Bravettes by a score of 70-62 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Flathead still got an impressive performance from Lyric Ersland, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ersland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodee Zahn, who scored 11 points.
The win made it two in a row for Butte and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Flathead, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Big Sky the next time they take the court. Flathead will host Big Sky at TBD on Tuesday, while Butte will host them at TBD on Friday.
