The Mojave Rattlers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Del Sol, falling 71-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mojave has suffered yet this season.
Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Azzareya Huerta, who scored eight points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jac'omoire Fahie, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Del Sol got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ricana Taylor out in front who shot 5-for-5 from long range and dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Chanel King was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds.
Mojave's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.7 points per game. As for Del Sol, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Coincidentally, Mojave and Del Sol will both be playing Sunrise Mountain the next time they take the court. Del Sol will head out to face Sunrise Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Mojave will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
