Manning has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Crestwood Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manning has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three matchups.
Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Manning at home against East Clarendon as the squad secured a 61-29 win.
Manning's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lovell Stevenson led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Jordyn Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Crestwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Lugoff-Elgin by a score of 51-41.
Manning has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 4-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Crestwood, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Manning came up short against Crestwood in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 67-55. Can Manning avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
