The Heritage Eagles will take on the Fossil Ridge SaberCats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Heritage took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Valor Christian as they made off with a 13-3 victory. With that win, Heritage brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Jaden McKinney looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bryant Buelow was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of James Long, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.
Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge made easy work of Greeley West on Thursday and carried off a 16-2 victory. Considering the SaberCats have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Luc Gaca-Thiele made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Gaca-Thiele was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
In other pitching news, Connor Folkman looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
Back at the plate, Fossil Ridge got a massive performance out of Tyler Kephart, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Matt Lang was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Fossil Ridge and bumps their season record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Heritage hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Fossil Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Heritage might still be hurting after the 9-3 defeat they got from Fossil Ridge when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
