Pine Grove is 7-2 against Thrasher since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will take on the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Pine Grove will be strutting in after a win while Thrasher will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, Pine Grove made easy work of Falkner and carried off a 13-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Tucker Hargett looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Talen Wilkerson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Peyton Tidwell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Walnut hit Thrasher with a six-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Ryan Tate and Hayden Hopkins were huge no matter where they played even without the win. On the mound, Tate didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Hopkins tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). At the plate, Tate went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Hopkins went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bryton Roberts, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Braden Womble also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Thrasher's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pine Grove, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-6.
Pine Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Thrasher when the teams last played back in April of 2021, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
