Canyon View's tournament run continued when they took on American Fork  on Friday. The Canyon View Falcons fell just short of the American Fork Cavemen by a score of  6-5. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Elli John was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. That's the fewest  hits  she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 John wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Saide Adams, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.  Quinn Matheson also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
Canyon View's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for American Fork,  the  win  got them back to even at 3-3.
 Canyon View has  already played their next  contest (against Needles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. American Fork also has no score uploaded for their next  match, this one against Bishop Kelly.
