After a string of six wins, the Mansfield Timberview Wolves's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to South Grand Prairie on the road by a decisive 62-46 margin. Mansfield Timberview lost against South Grand Prairie in their previous head to head back in November of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-58 score last time.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lewis Sotelo, who scored 8 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Richard, who scored 9 points.
Mansfield Timberview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for South Grand Prairie, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Mansfield Timberview will be playing in front of their home fans against Mansfield Summit at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield Summit is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for South Grand Prairie, they will take on Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Allen has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 782 points over their last 11 contests.
