Meanwhile, Piedmont Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Central Georgia Arts 16-0. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.
Jamus Wingate made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Wingate was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Piedmont Academy got a massive performance out of Jack Adams, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Adams a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Tyler Griswell, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Piedmont Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Piedmont Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
