The Northwood Rangers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 37-30 victory over Swanton on Saturday. The win was just what Northwood needed coming off of a 43-19 loss in their prior contest.
Swanton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peighton Manning, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gowing, who scored ten points.
Northwood's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8. As for Swanton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwood will take on North Baltimore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. North Baltimore is coming into the game with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Northwood will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Swanton, they will be playing at home against Pettisville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Pettisville is facing Swanton at the right time seeing as Swanton is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
