It was a good run, but the McKeel Academy Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Lake Gibson by a score of 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why McKeel Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Sessoms. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with six assists and three steals. Sessoms is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Jonsson, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
McKeel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Lake Gibson, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-13.
McKeel Academy will face off against the Titans at TBD on Tuesday. Tenoroc has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lake Gibson, they will take on the Chargers at TBD on Tuesday. Liberty is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
