Meanwhile, Central was able to grind out a solid  victory over Sycamore on Tuesday, taking the game  6-2.
 Sam Maglares looked comfortable as he  tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits.
 At the plate, Central let  Liam Schultz and  Thomas Koertgen run wild. Schultz  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI, while  Koertgen  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.  David Hintz was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base.
 Central's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 3-0. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average this season. As for Barrington, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-1.
