The Davis Darts are taking a road trip to face off against the Bountiful RedHawks at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Davis comes in on 12 and Bountiful on five.
Davis came out on top against Layton on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Darts' pitcher stepped up to hand the Lancers a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Darts have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cambell Christensen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Norah Sunderland was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Adelyn Turpin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Davis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 12 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bountiful gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Clearfield, sneaking past 5-4.
Like Davis, Bountiful also got a great game from a two-way player: Ella Miller. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Miller was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Claire Yates, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabeau Hoff, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Bountiful's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Davis, their record is now 17-6.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Davis hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. However, it's not like Bountiful struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Davis skirted past Bountiful 9-7 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Darts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
