The Heidelberg Oilers won the last time they faced the Clarkdale Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Heidelberg took down Clarkdale 26-7.
Heidelberg found their leader in underclassman Chase Craft, who rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 140 yards and a touchdown. Craft was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Destin McCray was another key contributor, gaining 104 total yards and a touchdown.
Heidelberg is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Clarkdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Heidelberg will be playing in front of their home fans against Collins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarkdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Newton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
