Softball Recap: Cazenovia Wins Going Away Against Homer

Cazenovia's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Homer Trojans. The contest marked the Lakers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Sophie Wilmot was a standout: she got on base in three of her six plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Caitee Fenton, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Cazenovia's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Homer, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Cazenovia will host East Syracuse-Minoa at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Homer, they will venture away from home to challenge Mexico at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
