Adding to the longest winning streak in Twin Valley (8 Man) this week, B & B beat Southern Coffey County 56-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Falcons.
Hanover was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. The Wildcats vanquished Blue Valley 44-0 earlier in the week.
Ryan Yungeberg made the biggest impact on defense this week as Linn bested Southern Cloud. He grabbed 2 sacks.
Brett Peters provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Bulldogs topped the Warriors. He completed 4 passes for 56 yards and also ran for 249 yards.
Peters was a beast in the backfield as Linn beat Southern Cloud.
Peters was the best running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 249 yards as Jeremy Miller's team beat the Titans. Teammate Micah Dieckmann added to the ground attack by rushing for 147 yards.
Leading Twin Valley (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Justin Coup's team's Dustin Rottinghaus and Blake Deters have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Rottinghaus has thrown for 1,229 yards this season, while Deters has 27 catches for 527 yards. Peters from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 967 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Falcons and Hanover. B & B enters the contest ranked ninth in the state, while Matt Heuer's team ranks fifth.
The Falcons' offense has racked up 348 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Wildcats have allowed only 44 on the year.
Linn's Peters needs only 33 yards against Clifton-Clyde next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 152 carries Peters has accumulated 967 yard this year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when B & B takes on Hanover. The Falcons have allowed 79 points this season, while the Wildcats have given up 44. B & B allowed 6 points last week as it bested Southern Coffey County.
Axtell was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Frankfort. The Eagles came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
