The Indian Hill Braves won the last time they faced the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Indian Hill strolled past Madeira with points to spare, taking the game 62-47. Given Indian Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Madeira is ranked 576th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Madeira still got an impressive performance from Will Manning, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Hopewell, who scored nine points.
Madeira struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The victory makes it two in a row for Indian Hill and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Madeira, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
Indian Hill will head out on the road to challenge Reading at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madeira, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mariemont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mariemont's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
