El Dorado had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Diamond Bar Brahmas to the tune of 30-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Golden Hawks just coasted through the last quarter.
El Dorado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cooper Larson and Emilio Rivas. Larson is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Dorado will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Redondo Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Diamond Bar, they will welcome Claremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
