Softball Recap: Middlesex Extends Winning Streak to Four

Middlesex entered their tilt with West Point on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They beat the Pointers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-1. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Magen Daniels made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Middlesex let Courtney Jessie and Carly Jessie run wild. Courtney got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Carly scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Pollie Hammond was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Middlesex's record now sits at 7-4. As for West Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
