Baseball Recap: Burke Has No Trouble Against Buena Vista

Burke won the last time they faced Buena Vista and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Bison 14-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Rigley Renbarger and Tanner Pickett did most of the damage at the plate: Renbarger got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Pickett went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. What's more, Renbarger posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alec Carlson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Burke hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Burke's record now sits at 6-15. As for Buena Vista, their loss was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Coming up, Burke will take on Bryan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Buena Vista, they will square off against Benson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bison are facing the Bunnies at the right time seeing as the Bunnies are stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
