Oak Ridge and Rocklin are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Oak Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Rocklin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Last Friday, Oak Ridge narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Whitney 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted against the Wildcats since March 21, 2024.
Kennedi Freeland made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emery Glaser, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Arissa Jerrett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
Meanwhile, Rocklin was able to grind out a solid win over Folsom on Thursday, taking the game 7-2. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.
Like Oak Ridge, Rocklin also got a great game from a two-way player: Cat Alston. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, Alston posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Addie Titlow was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Savannah Quayle also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Rocklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Folsom only posted a batting average of .250.
Rocklin's record now sits at 15-4. As for Oak Ridge, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Oak Ridge suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Rocklin when the teams last played back in March. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
