Cunningham had a great game on Friday and rushed for 269 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Canyon Springs can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 40-14 margin over Chaparral. The win was nothing new for Canyon Springs as they're now sitting on three straight.
Tysean Mccraney and Eric Mosley- wedermyer were among the main playmakers for Canyon Springs as the former threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes and the latter gained 109 total yards and three touchdowns.
Sunrise Mountain has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 8-1 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Valley and 4-6 Pinecrest Academy Cadence (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37.5% over those games). As for Canyon Springs, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
