It was a proper cat-fight when  Wiggins took on Sedgwick County on Friday. The Wiggins Tigers snuck past the Sedgwick County Cougars with  a  28-24 victory. The Tigers'  win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wiggins to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Karsyn Kerr, who  posted seven  points in addition to five  boards and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Peyton Meyer, who  put up six points and seven  rebounds.
 Sedgwick County lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Lainee Nein, who  had six  points along with seven  boards and three  steals. Nein is  crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least three every time she's  taken the court this season.  Abigail Dille was another key player,  putting up seven points.

Wiggins pushed their record up to 3-0 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Sedgwick County, they now  have a losing record at 1-2.
 Wiggins will take on Haxtun in a tournament  on Thursday. As for Sedgwick County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stratton at 4:00  p.m.  on January 16, 2025.
