The Buhl Indians will square off against the Teton Timberwolves at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Buhl is ranked 36th, while Teton is ranked 23rd).
Buhl fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 20-12 win over McCall-Donnelly on Friday.
The critical scores for Buhl came from Kyler Kelly, Gabe Finley, and Felipe Villegas.
Meanwhile, Teton stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Fruitland at home to the tune of 47-14. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Teton just coasted through the last quarter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Teton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Joyce, who rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Jack Nelson was another key contributor, throwing for 292 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Buhl has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Teton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Buhl has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 204.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Teton struggles in that department as they've been even better at 225.8 per game. It's looking like Thursday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Buhl suffered a grim 53-32 defeat to Teton when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can Buhl avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
