The Trinity Christian Warriors entered their tilt with the Frontier Cougars with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Trinity Christian walked away with a 64-57 win over Frontier on Friday. Given Trinity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 44th in West Virginia, while Frontier is ranked 232nd in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Frontier's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Haught, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Haught is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Kelsey Dye was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Trinity Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
Trinity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-34 win vs. East Hardy on the 10th. Frontier will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Toronto at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
