The Fairfield Falcons won the last time they faced the Chase Kats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Fairfield breezed by Chase on the road to the tune of 63-19. That 63-19 margin sets a new team best for Fairfield this season.
Despite the defeat, Chase saw an underclassman step up: Humberto Rincon scored eight points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rincon has scored all season.
Fairfield pushed their record up to 4-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Chase, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will take on LaCrosse at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully LaCrosse focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 back in December of 2023. As for Chase, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ellinwood at 8:00 p.m. Ellinwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chase in Kansas (Ellinwood is ranked 83rd, while Chase is ranked 351st).
