The Pottsgrove Falcons will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Antietam Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. Pottsgrove will be strutting in after a win while Antietam will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, Pottsgrove made easy work of Downingtown East and carried off a 61-40 win. That's two games straight that Pottsgrove has won by exactly 21 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Antietam had to settle for a 56-54 defeat against Boyertown on Monday. Even though they lost, Antietam's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was AJ Schiefly, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals. He scored a full 35.2% of Antietam's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Shawn Raffety, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Pottsgrove and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Antietam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
