Basketball Recap: University School of Nashville's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

University School of Nashville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-55 win over the Columbia Academy Bulldogs. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Columbia Academy still got an impressive performance from Jeremy Jackson, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Estep, who went 5 of 8 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

University School of Nashville's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Columbia Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the University School of Nashville Tigers challenge the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. University School of Nashville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Middle Tennessee Christian likes a good challenge. As for Columbia Academy, they will take on The Webb School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Webb School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.
