Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bishop Ireton's offense. They came up short against the St. Mary's Ryken Knights on Tuesday, falling 15-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Bishop Ireton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Mary's Ryken, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Ireton will venture away from home to square off against Fairfax HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Ireton has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for St. Mary's Ryken, they will head out on the road to challenge Archbishop Spalding at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
