Volleyball Recap: Triton Takes a Loss

Triton managed to slip by North Judson-San Pierre the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Bluejays on Tuesday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bluejays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Triton was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made North Judson-San Pierre work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 28-26, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Triton lost, don't look at Lydia Hammond. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs. Hammond is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Triton's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-5. As for North Judson-San Pierre, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Triton will head out to take on LaVille at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Boone Grove at 6:30 p.m.
