This season hasn't been kind to The Carbon Hill Bulldogs, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were dealt a 57-7 loss at the hands of Oak Grove on Friday. Carbon Hill lost against Oak Grove in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-18 score last time.
Walker Kimbrell threw for 27 yards on six of 11 attempts. On the ground, Jacob Walker rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Carbon Hill's defeat was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Winfield and 9-1 Decatur Heritage Christian Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.7% over those games). As for Oak Grove, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Carbon Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oak Grove will head out on the road to face off against Westminster Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
