After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Father Lopez, the Warner Christian Academy Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past Burns Sci-Tech, posting a 56-21 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Warner Christian Academy has managed all season.
Warner Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Nicholas led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Nicholas is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ashton Flores, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Warner Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Burns Sci-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Warner Christian Academy will play host again and welcome Zarephath Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Zarephath Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Burns Sci-Tech will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against First Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
