The Salem Generals were the 61-41 winner over the Granville Golden Horde when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Salem took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Granville on Friday.
Granville found their leader in underclassman Paige Taylor , who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Taylor has scored at least 25% of Granville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Olsen, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and four blocks.
Salem's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Granville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Salem will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Argyle at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Granville, they will head out on the road to face off against North Warren Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
