Prestonwood Christian put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Hockaday with a sharp 51-27 victory. Given Prestonwood Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Hockaday is ranked 556th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Prestonwood Christian can attribute much of their success to Kierstin Rink, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Londyn Oliphant was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bishop Lynch's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ursuline Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Prestonwood Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. As for Bishop Lynch, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12.
Prestonwood Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bishop Lynch in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory.
