Union Grove Christian were the 59-41 winner over the Lake County Baptist Lions when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Union Grove Christian suffered a tough 59-36 loss at the hands of Lake County Baptist on Thursday. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Christopher Reindl was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points for Lake County Baptist. That makes it two consecutive games in which Reindl has scored at least 25% of Lake County Baptist's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Davis, who scored 13 points.
Union Grove Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Lake County Baptist, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Union Grove Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake County Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on February 6, 2024. As for Lake County Baptist, they will square off against Westfair Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
